ARTISTIC COLLABORATIONS

Arturo O’Farrill

Pianist, composer, and director of the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, internationally recognized for his contribution to Afro-Latin jazz and recipient of multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards.

His collaboration with Orozco Contemporáneo developed around Cuerpo–Intervención–Algoritmo, presented at the International Jazz Plaza Festival.

Rolando Luna

Internationally recognized Cuban pianist, member of Buena Vista Social Club, and long-standing collaborator of Omara Portuondo. He has participated in more than two hundred recordings and is known for integrating tradition, improvisation, and contemporary pianistic language.

His artistic relationship with Liliet Orozco includes performances at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana, jazzahead! in Bremen, the Jazz Plaza Festival, and Errobiko Festibala. It is one of the most sustained artistic collaborations within her career.

Rachel Therrien

French-Canadian trumpeter, composer, producer, and bandleader working between Montreal, New York, and Havana. Her music connects contemporary jazz with Afro-Cuban, Afro-Caribbean, and Latin American traditions.

Her first collaboration with Liliet Orozco took place at Saudade in Havana. They are currently developing new creations for the 2027 International Jazz Plaza Festival.

Yilian Cañizares

Cuban-Swiss violinist, singer, and composer whose artistic language brings together classical training, jazz, improvisation, and Afro-Cuban roots.

Her collaboration with Liliet Orozco took place in De Lecuona a Ravel, alongside Rolando Luna, during the 41st edition of the International Jazz Plaza Festival.

Elaín Morales

Cuban singer and composer whose work moves between song, popular music, pop, and Afro-Cuban sounds. His career includes Latin Grammy nominations.

He has collaborated with Liliet Orozco on Ragú del Miércoles and on music-based stage processes connecting vocal interpretation, live music, and embodied creation.

Julen Achiary

Basque singer, instrumentalist, and composer whose work is connected to improvisation, Basque vocal traditions, and contemporary musical creation. His artistic research brings together voice, percussion, oral memory, and experimentation.

In addition to his relationship with the artistic direction and creative environment of Errobiko Festibala, he is developing the Cuba–France project Le Chant d’Odonowith Liliet Orozco. The project is conceived as an encounter between stage creation, voice, percussion, and movement.

Alejandro Valdés Reyes

Cuban guitarist, composer, and music producer associated with the New Flamenco movement in Cuba and with the dialogue between flamenco, Cuban music, and contemporary creation.

He has collaborated with Liliet Orozco on Ragú del Miércoles and on other music-based stage projects developed with Elaín Morales.

Reinier Mariño

Cuban guitarist and composer specializing in flamenco. His national and international career has been shaped by his connection to the work of Paco de Lucía and by the encounter between flamenco and Cuban music.

His collaboration with Liliet Orozco took place at the Edgardo Martín Guitar Festival at the Tomás Terry Theatre in Cienfuegos.

Antipe da Stella

Swiss flautist with a career in concert music and a sustained professional relationship with Cuban composers, performers, and orchestras.

She participated as a guest artist in the music-based stage creation presented by Liliet Orozco and Reinier Mariño in Cienfuegos.

María Emiliano

Composer involved in contemporary creative processes and in exploring the relationship between music, movement, and dramaturgical construction.

She composed the music for Consuelo, created by Liliet Orozco and presented by Orozco Contemporáneo at Women by Eyeife in Fábrica de Arte Cubano.

Elsa Nilsson

Swedish-American flautist and composer whose artistic practice connects improvisation, contemporary jazz, listening, memory, and the environment.

She is currently developing Hýbris – Anatomy of a Threshold in collaboration with Liliet Orozco and Orozco Contemporáneo. The project is planned for the 2027 International Jazz Plaza Festival.

Natacha Díaz

Cuban theatre, film, and television actress with a career spanning more than five decades. She received Cuba’s 2023 National Television Award in recognition of her lifetime achievement.

She appeared as a guest artist in Consuelo, presented by Orozco Contemporáneo at Women by Eyeife.

Yaroldy Abreu

Internationally recognized Cuban percussionist specializing in Latin and Afro-Cuban jazz. He has collaborated with major Cuban and international artists and has also developed a distinguished career as an educator.

He collaborated with Liliet Orozco and Rolando Luna at Errobiko Festibala 2026 in a project combining Afro-Cuban jazz, percussion, and Afro-contemporary dance.
