CALEIDOSCOPIO

Caleidoscopio begins with the infinity of colours, emotions, and decisions contained within the human experience. Bodies, rhythm, and space continually reorganise themselves like a living kaleidoscope, generating images and perspectives that never recur in exactly the same form. In the face of turbulent circumstances, the work seeks consolation not as a passive refuge, but as an opening towards other ways of seeing, choosing, and living together—leaving behind a sense of harmony, vitality, and possibility.

Cuerpo Intervención Algoritmo constructs a choreographic system based on repetition, synchronisation, and collective behaviour. The bodies receive signals, reproduce patterns, and submit to a shared order until an error emerges. The failure spreads, disrupts the established structure, and opens a path towards rupture, awareness, and individual choice.

Piedad emerges from the emptiness left behind when relationships fracture or disappear. The work explores the emotional traces that remain within the body and the transformation of a bond shaped by absence. Contact appears simultaneously as consolation and burden, refuge and wound.

No somos, pero bailamos explores the boundary between identity, visibility, representation, and truth. The work draws on material from ballet and Cuban forms including Mozambique, cha-cha-chá, son, rumba, and pilón, transforming them through a contemporary physical language. None of these forms appears as expected: each reveals another emotion, another tension, and another way of occupying the stage.

Canto a la Sabana emerges from a dialogue between the body, rhythmic language, and a contemporary sound world connected to rap and urban music. Movement does not illustrate the music: it responds to, contradicts, and transforms its impulses. The work turns physical presence into a poetic and collective gesture shaped by identity, resistance, and memory.

Ragú del Miércoles is a stage and music encounter conceived as a contemporary variety show. Dance, live music, voice, humour, and different artistic languages come together as ingredients within a single composition. The work brings tradition and contemporaneity into conversation, creating a plural, unpredictable, and constantly evolving Cuban experience.

COLBA investigates the historical and cultural layers that shape Cuban identity. Through bodies marked by Indigenous, African, and European memory, the work addresses transculturation, racial hierarchies, and the forms of resistance that emerge under systems of domination. Rather than reproducing a linear historical narrative, it confronts figures, gestures, and inherited legacies to reveal the contradictions, tensions, and cultural intersections that continue to inhabit the present.
